Prince Albert 2, Everett 1

once again, the boys played to the level of their opponents--in this case--majorly downward, and it was a costly 2 points to give up. 20 minutes of sluggish play, poor passing, minimal effort, dumb penalties, and pitiful defense which literally handed the raiders their second goal.

the tips had many scoring opportunities but could not manage to capitalize on them. unfortunately for us, goaltender dustin butler did not 'give it up'. i thought referee sally jesse rafael was just as mediocre as was everett.

as a fan, it gets old hearing various players (zach hamill in this case) lament how they weren't doing this or that, how they didn't play 'our normal game'. so what is it about this team that makes them just mail in an uninspired performance against a team like prince albert? is the fear of becanic a non-factor compared to the fear of constantine? why are these players not motivated to play up to their potential? one can't blame it simply on youth, because constantine obviously found a way around that.

given the history of this team then, i expect the tips to come out fast and furious against kelowna tonight and then on saturday against vancouver, resulting in 4 points--nothing less.
