Hockey in Heels

Well, the annual Hockey in Heels event is coming soon. Know what that is? A chance for the lady hockey fans to have some quality time with the coach and a few of the players in a Q&A session. I'm sure Leo will be there.

In honor of this Everett event, I have a few questions I'd like to volunteer for any ladies in attendance to ask. I hope our other blog posters will start a new post with a few of their own.

Here we go (all questions are for Coach Becanic):

1. What in the hell is your timeout strategy? Do you just like to make sure you get your money's worth by taking the one timeout early in the game, instead of when we might need it in the 3rd period and our guys need a rest on a long PK?
2. What in the hell is your lineup strategy? The guys play with a new line almost every night so there is very little chance to gel as a line? I think I saw some fans who wanted to get in the game last night...maybe put them on the Karamnov line?
3. What in the hell is your line change strategy? I've seen some of the shortest shifts in hockey with line changes being called out. There isn't any "feel" to the game because we don't maintain control of the puck. I understand you want to match up, but let's be serious and keep the guys on the ice for more than 10 seconds at a time.
4. What in the hell are you doing to coach Zach Hamill? This kid is an NHL draft pick. Every time he touches the puck, the defense on the other team should crap their pants and show him some respect. He should be making everyone on his line better and creating lots of chances. Instead, he's been a non-issue for most of the season (flashes of brilliance yes, but only flashes).
