Tips Blanked at Key Arena

Well, the story of this season continued tonight at the Key.

The Tips took too many penalties, didn't play great defense (though Leland warmed up later in the game and made some spectacular saves), and didn't create offensive chances to test DeSerres in goal. They had a few good shifts in the first period, but Seattle took over from then...as painful as it sounds is as painful as it was to watch.

What does all that mean? We lost 3 to 0 in front of, oh, about 300 people in Key Arena. Seriously, was I watching a funeral or a hockey game? That place is so quiet (except for a very select few idiots who know nothing about hockey yelling at Jonathan Harty or Kyle Beach).

I didn't see Becanic behind the bench at the game so I wonder where he is. No luck in seeing anything about that in in Nick's blog at the Herald either...

Finally, we spotted Karamnov in his new hairdo (sans mullet) and he was his usual self on the ice. If he continues developing, he's going to be a star in this league.
