I, HockeyTom, and fellow hockey fan, Leo, will be speaking to you, the loyal Everett Silvertip fans as often as we can.

We started a blog last year, but didn't have much to write about. The Tips, coached by the Kevin Constantine, went on a tear. They played hockey that was sound, weren't penalized, and won game after game. An early exit at the hands of the Prince George Pussycats (also known as Cougars) stung Tips fans all during the off-season.

Now the Tips have gone from a Season of Destiny to a Season of Mediocrity. The team is now coached by John Becanic, affectionately known as "Coach B." Becanic is a disaster as a coach, taking the Tips from the least penalized team in the WHL to the most penalized. There are many more reasons why we'll light up the coaching staff, but not in this first post...plenty of time for that later!

We hope the Tips players get what they deserve: a coach that gives them a chance to be successful, show their stuff for the scouts, and get a shot at a professional career. The Everett faithful is used to winning and those who say we're spoiled have just got it wrong. A tradition of excellence is what we've had so far and what we should strive for in the future.
